Polatsk: court refuses to consider case at third hearing
The third hearing concerning the financial
compensation for extra work, filed by an activist of the Free Trade Union,
Mikalai Sharakh, against the administration of the open joint-stock company
“Shklovalakno” (“Fiberglass”) took place on 11 November.
The first two hearings were held on 4 and 10 November. Judge Iryna Darotka suddenly
stated that the lawsuit “wasn't liable to a court consideration”. It was done
during this hearing, at which the judge was to have issued a verdict. The judge
stated that she couldn't consider the lawsuit as all payments at the enterprise
were regulated by the labor agreement and all such issues were to be solved by
the employer and the employee.
The worker considers this refusal as groundless and is going to appeal against
it at the regional court.
