Bundestag member Marieluise Beck called on the Belarusian authorities to “immediately inform the family and lawyers of Andrei Sannikov about his location and provide access to him”.
She released a statement on behalf of Alliance '90/The Greens on November 16, BelaPAN news agency reports.
Beck stresses that location of Sannikov is unknown, his relatives and lawyers cannot get information where he has been transferred to.
“Numerous reports about mistreatment and tortures to force political prisoners to confess give reasons to suspect the worst. We are seriously concerned about Andrei Sannikov’s fate,” the statement says.
