Today's session started with the prosecutor's question to Ales Bialiatski on whether he understood the new charges. "Yes, I do. They are actually the same as the pervious ones. They are groundless, and I do not admit them", said Ales Bialiatski.

10.15 – The prosecutor reads out the Justice Ministry’s reply on Viasna’s attempts to obtain state registration. The paper states that Ales Bialiatski was involved in two attempts to register the Human Rights Center “Viasna” – in 2007 and 2009. The applications were dismissed due to their reported non-compliance with the current legislation.

After that the defense lawyer asked to document a paper by the Norwegian Helsinki Committee which certifies that the money transferred to Bialiatski’s bank account was meant for Viasna’s human rights activities.

The judicial investigation is officially over. The prosecutor asks for another break till 23 November to prepare for the oral arguments. The motion is granted by the Judge.
