Brest activists appeal against picket bans

Brest-based civil activists filed with the Brest Region Court an appeal against the refusal of the authorities to authorize pickets in support of political prisoners.

Before this, a similar appeal was turned down by the Leninski District Court of Brest. “We disagree with the regular violation of the legislation and our constitutional rights by the city authorities, which manifests in wire-drawn bans and transfers of our actions to such reservation as the “Locomotive” stadium,” commented one of them, Viktar Chaikouski.
