Co-chair of the steering committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party Pavel Seviarynets, who is currently serving a personal restraint term, was banned to maintain mail correspondence with a BCD activist Yauhen Vaskovich, sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment for an attempt to set fire to the Babruisk KGB office in the night of 16-17 October 2010.

According to Seviarynets, in his letter to Vaskovich he wrote: “Don't be overwhelmed by evil, but overcome evil by good”, which had Evangelic sense. Pavel thinks that Yauhen's smile which shined on Yauhen's face during the trial and during his attestation by an attestation commission was a considerably stronger weapon than the bottle with incendiary mix he had thrown at the door of the Babruisk KGB. Vaskovich was sentenced to 10 days in penal cell for smiling. It was his sixth time in the penal cell. Smile is a sign of victory, while violence is the weapon of the weak.
