The wife of the political prisoner visited the penitentiary in Shklou on 9 January.
As Maryna Adamovich says, she wanted to pass her husband a parcel with medicines. According to her, Mikalai Statkevich needs to take certain medicines. Dzianis Asipchuk, a medical service senior lieutenant refused to pass the parcel. Adamovich is convinced it happened on order of colony chief Yermalitski, whom she met in the corridor, “Nasha Niva” reports.
Bear in mind that Mikalai Statkevich is to stand a new trial on 12 January. The colony administration thinks he does not mend his way and can be considered a malicious offender of internal regulations. Colonel Yermalitski demands to transfer the politician to stricter confinement regime for three years.
