Miyory district: participants of constituent assembly of BCD are forced to refuse from their signatures
This information was voiced by a Miyory resident,
coordinator of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party Bahuslau Matsuk.
According to him, five people were subject to pressurization. The chief
accountant of the collective farm “Paryzhskaya Kamuna” Natallia Laurenava was
threatened with dismissal unless she revoked her signature in support of the
establishment of the party. Andrei Lemianionak was visited by a police
inspector and summonsed to the village council and the district executive
committee. Two more activists were summonsed to the executive committee for a
“talk”, and another one is blackmailed: they propose a better job for her
husband in exchange of refusal from her signature.
According to Vitsebsk BCD coordinator Tatsiana Seviarynets, a Miyory-based
participant of the constituent assembly (held on 17 December 2011) was also
pressurized: “Our adherent Iryna Valter received an anonymous telephone call.
An unknown man threatened her for her public activities.
