On 14 January, Baranavichy civil activist Ryhor Hryk received a reply to his appeal from the regional prosecutor’s office upholding an official warning issued to the activist for involvement in the People’s Assembly held on 8 October.
In his appeal, Mr. Hryk argued that he did not tale part in an unauthorized mass event, but attended a meeting with member of Baranavichy city council Mr. Halkevich. However, deputy prosecutor of Brest region Mr. Tochka took the side of the authorities in upholding the warning.
