Andrei Bandarenka, the
head of Platform organization was ordered to get off the train by customs
officers when he was returning from Warsaw to Minsk on Sunday.
Customs officers said his “magnetic information carriers” should be checked in
the customs room.
He was set free at 5 am after a two-hour inspection. Bandarenka's laptop was
seized for expert examination to clear out if the information on it was
dangerous for economic and political security of the country.
Human rights activists from Platform organization have recently announced
launching a new project - “Human Right Monitoring in Penitentiary Institutions”.
