Alyaksandr Artsybashau, who was detained in the building of the Maskouski district court of Minsk, was sentenced to 10 days in custody.
He was taken to a detention centre in Akrestsin Street, his wife Maria says.
Artsybashau is reported by Radio Svaboda to have been detained when he was trying to hand in juice and cigarets to Pavel Vianhradau in the court. A police report for toys rally was drawn up against him.
Both activists were taken into custody for an unauthorized action titled “Toys Protest” on Minsk's Independence Square on February 10. There's information that the opposition activists went on hunger strike.
Alyaksandr and Maria Artsybashau have a one-year-old son Artemiy.
