The lawsuit of the steering committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party against the administration of the Culture Palace of Minsk City Tractor Plant will be considered by at the Partyzanski District Court of Minsk at 11 a.m. on 19 March.

The matter is that during the constituent assembly of the organization on 17 December 2011, held at the Culture Palace, the lights were turned down on a personal order of the head of the Culture Palace, though the organizers of the event timely and fully paid for the rent of the hall. The lights were turned down when a prohibited Belarusian singer, Liavon Volski, appeared on stage.

The appeal for extra-judicial regulation of the case concerning the disruption of the constituent assembly of the BCD on 17 December 2011. Two weeks later, on 15 February, the administration of the Culture Palace answered that all paragraphs of the rent agreement had been implemented, that's why the time when the lights were turned down wouldn't be compensated.

Having received such a response, the BCD had nothing left to do but go to the law.
