Ihar Askerka, the son of activist Anatoly Askerka, was
tried today in Barysau. Anatol was arrested earlier for an action to support
political prisoner Andrei Sannikau.
Ihar Askerka was arrested yesterday
near the building of the Barysau district court after he had raised posters in
support of political prisoners and his father, reports the Human Rights Center
"Viasna".
Iryna Pasiuk, a judge of the Barysau
District Court, sentenced Ihar to 10 days in custody for participating in an
unauthorized mass event.
