A group of residents of the town of Slonim have addressed Prosecutor General Aliaksandr Koniuk with a demand to immediately release Siarhei Kavalenka, referring to his extremely poor condition.
“A man is dying in prison. He is not dying for himself, but for his Motherland. For its future, for our dignity, for our national flag. We, the residents of Slonim, are sad to see the man dying. We cannot be indifferent to the murder of a truly innocent person, a patriot of his country…”, says the appeal.
The campaigners also demand to release Andrei Sannikau, Zmitser Bandarenka and other prisoners of conscience.
