On 6 April the road police stopped the car of Aliaksei
Pikulik, head of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies. They told him
to drive to the Tsentralny District Police Department of Minsk for
identification as a suspect in a fight and forgery of documents.
His passport was taken away for examination, as it could be allegedly forged.
The legal term for the examination is three days. On 9 April Mr. Pikulik
applied to the police to get his passport back, but didn’t receive any
substantial answer. Now he is going to apply to court.
