The administration of Ivatsevichy penal colony No. 22 has not allowed Aliaksandr Frantskevich’s meeting with his mother scheduled for 4 May.

According to the activist’s mother Tatsiana, she received the ban on 26 April. However, the decision was not accompanied with any explanations.

On 27 May 2011, Aliaksandr Frantskevich was sentenced to three years of imprisonment in a medium-security penal colony for alleged deliberate damage to computer information and malicious hooliganism.

The Criminal Executive Code entitles prisoners to long-term meetings (three days) with their close relatives. A meeting can be cancelled in case of violations of internal prison regime.
