Krychau district prosecutor ignores appeals by independent journalists

Uladzimir Tryvaila, Prosecutor of Krychau district (Mahiliou region), has repeatedly ignored appeals by journalists of the Volny Horad independent newspaper, who have been requesting information on combating corruption and organized criminal activity.

Mikalai Herdziy, reporter of the Volny Horad, says that the Prosecutor should have shared the latest information with the pro-government press. However, no articles on the issues have yet appeared in the official Krychauskaye Zhytssio newspaper.

“Prosecutor Tryvaila just doesn’t want to lie in public, because the real state of affairs is more than grave,” says the journalist.
