During the last three days officers of the Klimavichy
District Police Department have been paying visits to apartments of the
citizens who had signed the appeal to the Klimavichy District Executive
Committee to require capital repairs of
the road in the village of Paulavichy in the Klimavichy district.
Policemen were doing it even on the official day-off, 1 May. The signatures had
been collected by activists of the civil campaign "Tell Truth!". They
had also passed the appeal to the Klimavichy authorities. Being afraid of any
civil initiatives, the authorities are trying to suppress them with the aid of
law-enforcement agencies. However, the need to repair the road is understood
even by the police.
