On 11 April the Leninski District Court of Hrodna tried Uladzimir Fianenka for alleged insubordination to a public agent and refusal from dactylography. Judge Mikalai Siarheika sentenced Mr. Fianenka to pay a fine of 20 basic units. However, the defendant received a copy of the verdict only on 30 April.

He is going to appeal against the court verdict at the Hrodna Regional Court. Bear in mind that on 20 February the police drew up a violation report against Mr. Fianenka, according to which he allegedly refused from the dactylographic registration, thus demonstrating insubordination to officers of the police department. On the reverse side of the report it was written that Fianenka refused to sign it. The report was passed to court. The defendant saw it only during the trial.

The court noted that the document was fabricated by the police. However, later the police “corrected” the document, as a result of which the court sentenced Uladzimir Fianenka to a fine.
