The consideration of the appeal
was postponed by the Vitsebsk Regional
Court on 10 April, in connection with the
appointed of a comprehensive psychiatric expertise for Siarhei Kavalenka in the
Navinki psychiatric hospital in Minsk.
Siarhei Kavalenka kept a hunger-strike (with a break) since December till the
end of March, protesting against the court verdict, according to which he was
sentenced to 25 months in prison for violating the regime of the personal
restraint, which had been imposed on him after hanging a white-red-white flag
on the Main New year Tree of Vitsebsk.
