Rahachou authorities ban pickets in support of "Dazhynki" festival

Civil activists of Rahachou intended to hold several pickets and an assembly in the district Culture Palace within the framework of the campaign "Let's return "Dazhynki" to Rahachou!". However, Rahachou District Executive Committee banned all these actions.

The assembly at the Culture Palace was prohibited because the palace is not a place which was determined for such actions by the authorities. What concerns the pickets, the authorities referred to the failure of the organizers to conclude service agreements with police, communal utilities and medics. However, these institutions refuse to conclude any agreements with demonstrators without seeing the agreement of the authorities first.
