Baranavichy activist complains to Lukashenka about prosecutors
On 11 May civil activist Ryhor Hryk (in the photo)
addressed A. Lukashenka with a complaint about actions of the Prosecutor
General, the prosecutor of Baranavichy and the prosecutor of the Brest region.
In his letter he informs A. Lukashenka that the Baranavichy prosecutor M.
Bildzeika unlawfully issued him with an official warning for participation in
an unauthorized event of 8 October 2011 in the old city park. Ryhor Hryk
complained to the regional prosecutor A. Tochka, but he found the activist
guilty not only of participating in the unauthorized event, but also of
organizing it. Instead of considering Hryk's complaint on its merits,
Prosecutor General forwarded it to the prosecutors whose actions he appealed.
"That's why in my address I ask Lukashenka to oblige Prosecutor General to
consider my appeal on its merits and abolish the unlawful warning," stated
Mr. Hryk.
