Anatol Liabedzka may face property confication for a paid fine
The leader of the United Civil Party paid 350,000 rubles of fine on the judgement of the court of Orsha, but he is still considered a debtor.
Bailiffs of the Tsentralny district court of Minsk warned the politician about
possible confiscation of property for failure to pay the fine over the “Orsha
case”. Liabedzka paid his 350,000 ruble fine in early May.
The UCP leader
does not rule out it is done on purpose to explain putting him on the list of
persons banned from leaving Belarus, European Radio for Belarus reports.“This paper was a surprise for me. I paid the fine on 1
or 2 May and sent the payment receipt to Orsha by registered mail. It's a shady
situation. They want me to have a formal fine to find an excuse for the travel
ban,” the UCP leader says.
Bear in mind Anatol Liabedzka, Siarhei Kaliakin and Aliaksandr Atroshchankau
were taken off the train in Orsha on their way to Russia on 28 March. The
court of Orsha heard a case over “disorderly conduct” and issued 350,000-ruble
fined to each.
