A crew of the Poland-based Belsat independent TV channel has been detained by Minsk police this afternoon, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports, quoting Belsat’s spokeperson Mikhas Yanchuk.
Liubou Lebedzeva and Ales Liubianchuk were arrested while interviewing leader of the Platforma civil campaign Andrei Bandarenka outside the city’s Railway Palace of Culture. Meanwhile, the policemen reportedly failed to give their names, and only one of them was wearing a uniform.
The journalists have been taken to Leninski District Police Department.
