On 12 April a lawsuit of an activist of the United Civil Party, Siarhei Lis, against a picket issued by the Hrodna City Executive Committee, was considered at the Leninski District Court of Hrodna.

The trial lasted for just 30 minutes. Judge Ala Bausuk didn’t grant the lawsuit. The interests of the city authorities were represented by lawyer Leanid Zhuk. Siarhei Lis solicited for admitting to the trial Aliaksandra Vasilevich as his representative, but the judge refused to do it. When Aliaksandra Vasilevich asked whether the refusal to admit her to the trial as Lis’s representative would be put down in the minutes of the court hearing, the judge ordered her to leave the court room, allegedly for violating the order of the trial.

The date of consideration of a similar lawsuit of Aliaksandra Vasilevich, who wasn’t allowed to hold a picket under the slogan “For fair elections without Lukashenka”, is not known yet.
