Hary Pahaniayla, chair of the legal commission of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee, has lodged tow more lawsuits against the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Justice, who were reportedly involved in imposing travel restrictions on the human rights defender, and several other Belarusian public figures, Radio Racyja reports.
Hary Pahaniayla, who has been unable to leave Belarus since 5 March, urges the authorities “to immediately lift all the travel restrictions imposed on him and prosecute those guilty of the offence”.
The Ministry of Justice earlier said that the travel ban might have been caused by a maintenance failure in a data base.
