Navapolatsk activist Yauhen Parchynski has been summoned to local police department to receive an official warning for holding an unsanctioned picket of support to imprisoned Mikalai Statkevich.
“I was summoned to the town police department to receive a warning, as our campaign “Free Region” hang out banners “Freedom to Statkevich!” in various parts of the town on 12 July. The action was later covered by the independent media. When the police learned about it, it was too late to prosecute anyone. So they opted to issue an official warning,” says Yauhen Parchynski.
