The chief department of justice of Hrodna regional executive committee has denied registration to the BPF Party’s local office, the BPF press-service reports.
The decision refers to the Party’s failure to submit the required papers in due time. However, according to the BPF local leader Vadzim Saranchukou, the applications documents were sent to the department, which is certified by a postal receipt.
The denial of state registration is linked to the current elections, as it is the regional offices of political parties that have the right to nominate their representatives to constituency election commissions, says Mr. Saranchukou. He also said the Party members were going to appeal the decision in court.
