Another criminal case opened against independent journalist

IC opened a criminal case against journalist Mikalai Piatrushenka for "insulting a government official".

The occasion was the article of Mikalai Piatrushenka, posted on August 8 on website nash-dom.info entitled "Pedophile won awards for best children's playground". The article claimed that the Deputy Chairman of Orsha city executive committee and the city "council of deputies" actively cooperated with the manager of the Association of Owners "Youth - Orsha" Jury Dudkin, who is currently in jail on suspicion of embezzling 100 million rubles, and having sex with a minor girl.

The publication is available in "blogs", reports the press service of BAJ.

According to the decree, signed by a senior investigator S. Shcherbenka, the author points out that the deputy chairman of the executive committee of Orsha is suspected in promoting the activities of pedophile. "Thus Piatrushenka publicly insulted the city official as a representative of the authority in connection with his official duties", - is said in the statement.

The collected materials contain sufficient data to show signs of a crime under Art. 369, suggests the investigator. In connection with this, he decides to initiate a case against Piatrushenka and taking it to production.
