Mass raids on anarchists' homes
The KGB seized computers, flash drives and cell phones.
Homes of four anarchist activists from Brest were raided by police yesterday.
Activists were summoned to the KGB for questioning, Euroradio reports.
The first summons was for 1:00 p.m. today. The rest activists must appear for questioning next week.
One of them, Alyaksandr Kazlyanka, was out of town during the raid, so his mobile phone wasn't seized. He says the reason for the raids was a fake bomb made of a rubbish bin. It was found on Yanka Kupala Street in early February 2012. The Investigation Committee of the Maskouski district of Brest initiated a criminal case over the fact. The case under article 339, part 1 is investigated by lieutenant Nestyaruk. Kazlyanko turns attention, that it was KGB officers who were looking for explosive traces.
“It is likely to have relation to our activity in the anarchist movement. A KGB officer said to one of our guys: 'You'd better change your views and social circle and you won't have problems,'” Kazlyanka said.
