Dzmitry Lasko, photographer of the “Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belorussii” daily, was shortly detained this morning at Minsk-based polling station No. 704, the press-service of the Belarusian Association of Journalists reports, quoting the newspaper’s photographer Iryna Kozlik.
The journalist was detained by the police after he refused to delete the photos he had taken at the polling station.
According to the newspaper’s editorial board, the photographer was released without charges after the incident was voiced at today’s press-conference of the Central Election Commission Secretary Mikalai Lazavik.
