Dzmitry Shurkhai, an activist of the
organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, was driving to
Poland for private affairs through the Warsaw Bridge border checkpoint.
The BCD press service reports he was detained for five hours, from 5 to 10 a.m. Border guards strip
searched the politician and searched his car. Shukhrai says he was ordered to
remove almost all clothes.
People in civilian clothes watched the search. They said they were migration
service officers, but the activists does not rule out they might be KGB agents.
