As it was found during today's trial, the activist
was charged for the same thing as his comrade Uladzimir Yaromenak – he also
wanted to spill Valerian tincture on the monument to Lenin. Vasillieu charted
with “disorderly conducted” (Article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative
Offenses) and was sentenced to the same 15 days of imprisonment.
Even the judge – Tatsiana Motal – was the same.
Raman Vasiliieu was detained on 8 November in Minsk on the way to a meeting. He spent the
night before the trial at the Maskouski DPD.
