A trade union activist had his belongings searched. His laptop was seized.
Andrei Stryzhak, a coordinator of the youth wing of the Electronics Industry Trade Union, was detained at Novaya Huta border checkpoint as he was returning from Ukraine to Belarus.
”I was detained by senior lieutenant Raman Tofan. They didn't bring any charges against me. They searched my bags and seized my laptop. I am in a personnel room now. I was detained on 2:25 p.m. They have the right to detain me for three hours without presenting charges. After that I will demand to draw up a report,” Andrei Stryzhak told charter97.org.
The trade union activist connects the incident to his professional activity.
