The Slutsk District
Executive Committee prohibited the BPF party to carry out a rally on
1 December on occasion of the anniversary of the Slutsk
Uprising.
The BPF chairperson Aliaksei
Yanukevich and the
leader of the Slutsk party branch Vital
Amialkovich applied for
the authorization of the rally on 15 November, RFE/RL reports.
Representatives of “For Freedom” movement, “Razam” solidarity
movement and “Young Front” were expected to take part in the
rally.
Bear in mind that activists of the Conservative Christian Party BPF were allowed to mark the 92th anniversary of the Slutsk Uprising on 25 November.
