to the political prisoner and member of the “Young Front” Eduard
Lobau appeared on the web.
Eduard Lobau was detained together
with the “YF” leader Dzmitry Dashkevich on 18 December 2010, on
the eve of the presidential election 2010. On 24 March 2011 the
Maskouski District Court of Minsk sentenced him to 4 years in a high
security prison on charges of “malignant hooliganism”. At present
he is kept at the penal colony #22 in Ivatsevichy.
During her
speech at the trial Lobau's counsel Alena Ausiannikava stated that
one's guilt must be proved by doubtless evidence, not opinion, but no
reliable evidence of guilt was presented at court.
