Mikola Dzemidzenka, deputy chairman of the Young Front opposition movement, was sentenced yesterday to 5 days of administrative arrest, Nasha Niva newspaper reports.
The activist was detained last evening, as he was returning home.
His associates say the conviction is precaution measure to prevent him from taking in part in marking two years since the brutal dispersal of a post-election protest on 19 December 2012.
