The Court of Minsk
Maskouski District considered on December 27 the administrative charges brought
against businessman Aliaksandr
Makayeu. He
was charged under Article 23.34, Para. 3 (“participation in an unauthorized
mass event, repeated throughout the year”). The case was heard by Judge
Yauhen Khatkevich.
The
entrepreneur was found guilty and sentenced to a fine of 5 mln rubles.
Aliaksandr Makayeu’s car was stopped on December 1 during the marking of the anniversary of the Slutsk anti-Soviet uprising of 1920s. On December the police of the town of Kopyl district detained Aliaksandr Makayeu in Minsk at the market "Rakauski Kirmash"; he was forced to provide explanations and later charged by a police major Shapashnikau.
