Andrei Haidukou, Navapolatsk activist accused of treason, left the pre-trial prison in Vitsebsk on 22 December. Neither the fact of the transfer nor the reasons for it was reported to the media: the lawyer learned about it when she went to meet her client.

Andrei Haidukou was held in Vitsebsk prison for about a month. During this time, his family received a letter from prison. When they stopped receiving letters, the prisoner's mother suspected something was wrong. She did not receive letters from Andrei while he was in Minsk KGB prison, where he was taken immediately after his arrest on November 8.

Andrei Haidukou, 23-year-old operator at the Navapolatsk-based "Naftan" enterprise, was detained "while making a dead drop with information that may be of interest to foreign intelligence services", as reported by the press service of the KGB.

According to human rights defender Valiantsin Stefanovich, “it is difficult to say why Haidukou was transferred from Minsk to Vitsebsk, and then back to Minsk again. Perhaps this is due to the fact that they want to receive the necessary evidence.”
