Number of activists of independent trade union at "Granite" still decreased by persecution
According to the head of the
independent trade union organization at the Mikashevich-based plant
"Granite", Ales Stakhayevich, at the beginning of 2012 the
organization included about 300 workers, whereas now there are only
about ten activists.
The main reason is that the "Granite"
administration continues persecuting them, threatening with
dismissal. In particular, the treasurer of the trade union, Anatol
Litvinka, is forced to write explanatory notes almost everyday. The
administration does everything possible to create unbearable
conditions, waiting for him to quit the job.
One more
activist, Leanid Dubanosau, was put before a choice: he can either
take away the documents for payment of the trade union fees from the
accounting department of "Granite", or they will find the
reasons to fire him.
