The Pershamaiski
District Court of Minsk sentenced Uladzimir Lemesh, an activist of
the "European Belarus", to pay a fine of 3 million rubles
for alleged insubordination to the police (Article 23.34 of the Code
of Administrative Offenses).
The activist was detained in the
evening of 14 January in Minsk and guarded to the Pershamaiski
District Police Department. He managed to phone his relatives and
inform them about the detention, the received charges and the
upcoming trial.
Bear in mind that in the night of 13-14
January another activist of the "European Belarus", Yuliya
Stsiapanava, was assaulted near house by two strangers who cut her
hair and then threw her in a snowdrift.
