On 7 February an activist of the "Alternative" Dzmitry Silchanka was sentenced to ten days of arrest under Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, "Violation of the order of organization and holding mass events". The verdict was pronounced by the Savetski District Court of Minsk.

As stated by the leader of the "Alternative" Aleh Korban, the organization's activists were summonsed to the DPD for a "prophylactic talk". However, all of them but Dzmitry Silchanka refused to come there without their counsels

"Dzmitry was summonsed to the Savetski DPD by a writ. After this his mobile phone stopped answering. The duty policeman of the Savetski DPD stated that Dzmitry had been taken to court and sentenced to ten days of arrest. At night he would be taken to the remand prison where he would serve his arrest," says Mr. Korban.

Bear in mind that on 29 January activists of the "Alternative" held a flash-mob dedicated to the topic of the official unemployment in Belarus. They attached improvised mannequins to the railings near the Kamarouski market as figures of the unemployed who held the posters: "I am going away to work in Moscow as well as 1.5 other Belarusians", "The authorities don't notice me" and "I cannot buy anything on this market".
