The Brest regional branch of the Belarusian Leftist Party "Fair World" supported the protest of the local social-democrats against the proposal to introduce a fee for visitors of polyclinics.

This decision was taken during the reporting conference of the regional structure of the "Fair World", whose participants unanimously protested against the intentions of the state authorities to introduce such fees, voiced by the vice-prime-minster Anatol Tozik and the head of the Baranavichy Executive Committee Viktar Dzichkouski.

As stated by the party activist Liudmila Dzenisenka, members of the "Fair World" have started collecting signatures under a protest note in the Brest district. According to them, the introduction of the service fee contradicts the Constitution which guarantees all citizens the right to health care. "The officials must know that one needs to hold a national referendum to amend the Constitution," stated Mrs. Dzenisenka.
