Liudmila Dzenisenka, the head of Brest city organization of the Belarusian Leftist Party "Fair World", received a runaround from the head of Brest Region Council Siarhei Ashmiantsau.

By hear appeal, Mrs. Dzenisenka tried to find how a citizen could appoint an audience with members of the council, as far as there is no information about their meetings with electors in the state media and at the official websites. The website of Brest City Executive Committee contains only a list of the council members. However, their telephone numbers and places of work aren't always indicated in it," states Liudmila Dzenisenka. "Moreover, there are borders of the electoral precincts aren't indicated and sometimes the citizens don't know what member of the council to apply to."

In the received answer it is stated that members of the council implement their duties without distraction from the main place of work and don't receive any money for it. However, there are no concrete answers on the merits of the questions asked. In particular, Liudmila Dzenisenka was proposed to look for the telephone numbers of the council members in publications of the state press for 2010. "Do I have to look through three-year-old newspapers in the library archives to contact a "publicly elected" member of the council?" wonders the "Fair World" activist.
