On 15 January 2013
Pershamaiski District Court of Minsk found the "Young Front"
activist Uladzimir Yaromenak guilty of a repeated violation of the
norms of preventive supervision and punished with 12 days of
arrest.
However, the activist wasn't present at the trial as
he hadn't been duly informed about it. As a result, Mr. Yaromenak's
legal right to defense was violated.
On 26 February Minsk
City Court considered his appeal and turned down the verdict of
Pershamaiski District Court and returned the case for
re-consideration by another judge.
