Ivan Sheha, leader of Slonim pro-democratic forces, received a written warning from the police department, warning against “violating the procedures of organizing and holding mass events or pickets.”
Slonim pro-democratic activists submitted three applications to hold events to mark the 95th anniversary of the Belarusian People's Republic, but all of them were dismissed. However, Ivan Sheha says Freedom Day will be celebrated in Slonim anyway.
