Belarus asked Microsoft about 35 Skype accounts

This is the first report of the kind, EVP and general counsel  Brad Smith wrote in his blog.

Belarus was not mentioned on the list of inquiries about users of such services as Hotmail, Outlook, SkyDrive, Xbox LIVE, Microsoft Account, Office 365 and others.

At the same time, Belarus sent 5 inquiries about 35 Skype accounts. All the inquiries were about users' general information and did not concern the content (photos, history logs).

The police are asked for warrants before they can receive users' information, the authors of the report noted.
