On 14 April in Mahiliou
car drivers expressed their protest against the unsatisfactory state
of the roads by burying the details which had gone out of order on
these roads, and laid down flowers on the improvised grave.
The
road policemen who stopped the car race for good roads in Karaliou
Street in the Yubileyny suburb, say they have no pretensions to the
car drivers, but are nevertheless going to pass the materials
concerning the action to court.
15 cars managed to drive
along the central streets of Mahiliou with black ribbons and a poster
"Action for Good Roads. May their memory live forever!"
attached to them.
