Teachers in Pinsk were deprived of part of their salary for the construction of an Orthodox church.
All the school teachers in Pinsk as well as teachers from kindergartens and other educational institutions saw 60 thousand roubles taken out of their salaries, law-paid employees – 30 thousand and the management – 100 thousand. The respective decision was taken by Pinsk city executive committee, Belsat reports.
The teachers were warned of the withdrawal of the money a week before the pay day.
The administration of the education department of Pinsk city executive committee refuses to comment on the situation.
We would remind that forced contributions have long become a common practice in Belarus.
