On April, 30 in 1968 was issued the first in the USSR human rights newsletter “The Chronicle of Current Events”, which was typewritten and shared by dissidents. It was “The Chronicle” that became the binder of the human rights movement and forced the emerging of the first organisations that defended human rights in the USSR.

If challenging times are coming to Russia now, it is the time to pay attention to it, to support civil society groups and activists of Russia, to come together and to prove that the international civil society is alive and common values are more important for it than the borders between our countries.

The international Day of Solidarity has been contributed to by organizations, groups and regular people from over a dozen countries, including Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, France, etc.
