The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus is asked to tell where a decision of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women was published.

Brest activist of the movement "For Freedom" Inha Abramava
wants to find out by which competent official body and in which printed periodical the decision of the UN Committee was published. According to human rights activist Raman Kisliak, Inha Abramava (the first Belarusian who applied to this Committee) filed an appropriate request to the Belarusian MFA. "The Committee found a violation of Abramava's rights, first of all discrimination against her as a woman," said Raman Kisliak. "The matter is that the conditions of detention of Inha were much worse because the entire staff of the temporary detention center during her time there consisted entirely of men, whereas according to international standards men aren't allowed in the women's section unless accompanied by women. "

In
ha Abramova was detained in 2008 for hanging blue ribbons dedicated "European march" on trees and drenage pipes. She was found guilty of disorderly conduct and sentenced to 5 days of arrest.
